Terms of Service
This document is legally binding in English only. The rest of RollerHoster is available in your language.
Version 2026-07-09
Operator: [legal name] · [postal address] · [contact email] · [jurisdiction]. To be completed by the operator before production launch.
1. The service
RollerHoster hosts game servers (Hytale, Project Zomboid, Rust and others as listed on the site) you create and control: you choose the configuration, install mods and plugins, invite team members, and manage backups. Paid tiers are billed as described on the pricing page; prepaid credit is metered per running server.
2. Acceptable use
- Use the service lawfully and in accordance with each game's server policies (for Hytale: no NFT/crypto/gambling content).
- No abuse of the platform: no attacks on other servers or the infrastructure, no resource-exhaustion workloads unrelated to game hosting, no attempts to access other customers' data.
- You are responsible for content on your servers and for moderating the players you admit.
3. Your players' data — processing terms (Art. 28 GDPR)
Where your server processes personal data of players (names, UUIDs, chat, world data), you are the controller and the operator is your processor. The operator:
- processes that data only to run, back up, restore, migrate and delete your server on your instructions (given through the dashboard and API);
- keeps it confidential, encrypts credentials at rest and backups in transit;
- engages the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy §4 (infrastructure and off-site backup storage) and will announce changes to that list;
- deletes it — including off-site backup copies — when you delete the backup, the server, or your account (initiated immediately; a copy on temporarily unreachable storage is removed by the operator as soon as it is detected);
- assists you with player requests under Arts. 12–22 to the extent the dashboard tools (file access, backup deletion, player management) do not already let you handle them yourself;
- notifies you without undue delay of any personal-data breach affecting your server.
4. Accounts, suspension, termination
- You must be 16 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly provide the service to children and do not seek parental consent (GDPR Art. 8); an account we learn belongs to someone under 16 is deleted.
- Keep your credentials safe; enable two-factor authentication for privileged accounts.
- Unpaid balances or acceptable-use violations can lead to suspension; deliberate abuse to termination.
- You can delete your account at any time (Account → Delete account); deletion — including the servers, backups and off-site copies that go with it — is described in the Privacy Policy §7.
5. Warranty and liability
Warranty, availability (SLA), and liability clauses depend on the operator's jurisdiction and must be supplied by the operator's counsel.
6. Changes
Material changes bump the version date above and are announced on the dashboard before they take effect.
